Technology in the Classroom
Technology provides a medium for students to express themselves according to their own learning style and allows for students to participate at their own level. We want our students using technology beyond the application level to develop transferable information and communication technology skills. For example, understanding the purpose of a word processing program and the common features included will help students learn that if they can use one word processor they can likely use another without much of a learning curve.
Students should be encouraged to use technology to gather current and relevant information, demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of a subject and collaborate with other learners.
